I have a text document within a Scrivener project. The document contains only four images and their captions. The right hand text margin is set at 15cm. Paper size is set at A4 with a 25mm margin all round.
The first image (whether ‘from file’ or ‘linked to file’) positions itself with its top about 10-15 lines down the page. If I write a title to the page it is at the top of the page while the image is still 10-15 lines down. The second image is likewise set about 10-15 lines down the next page, although there are no empty text lines between the caption of the first image and top of the second. The third image positions itself with its top about half way down the third page with its bottom 20% printed on the fourth page, and printed on top of (that is, obscuring) its caption. The fourth image sits about 10 lines below the third image’s foot. As I’ve said, the problem is similar whether the image is imported or linked, although the first image is a few lines closer to the top of the page if linked. I’ve tried editing the images and setting all to 300dpi. I’ve also checked the spacing before and after text paragraphs - nothing odd showed up. I don’t want to do anything clever with these images, just print them one or two to a page. I’d be grateful for any advice on how to make them behave.
Thanks.
