Hi,
it seems that new documents always have the “preserve formatting” setting switched off. Is there a way to have new documents automatically have this setting switched on?
I searched the help file and the preferences but couldn’t find anything. But perhaps I’m just being dumb

Hi,
No, there is no way for this setting to be “on” by default. I’m not sure why you would want it to be. This setting overrides the export formatting. If you want all or most documents to follow the formatting as it appears on screen, it makes more sense to turn off the export formatting rather than turn on “Preserve Formatting” for all documents.
