I’m sure the answer is in the forum or manual somewhere, but I can’t find it, and under a deadline. I simply want to print an expanded outline, now visible on my screen, to an emailable file. Doesn’t have to be editable, just printable. Is there a simple way to do this? When I try to follow some offered instructions, which result in an “Output file name” dialog box, I get a “could not open the file - access denied” error. I’m obviously missing a step, or several. Any help on how to print an expanded outline to a file would be appreciated. Thanks. -bob
One of these options may help. Note that in the case of exporting to CSV, you could open that in Excel and resave it to another file type if needed.
Thanks. I’ll give 'em a try.
All seems sort of klutzy – wouldn’t it be handy to have a simpler means to quickly print out an outline?
Maybe I misunderstood what you’re after. You can use a basic File > Print on your outline now, if you’re just looking for the titles and synopses. I had taken your reference to “expanded” to mean you had additional columns whose information you wanted included, but I realise now that may not be what you meant.
We will be adding more options to the Print output in a future version. I wouldn’t call the other methods klutzy–it really depends what you’re trying to do–but if you just need the basics, then Print may be all you need.
