Print PDF file in scrivener + Excel files

hello,
I have 3 questions:

1.- I imported a pdf file in scrivener, in the “reasearch” folder,
but when I gp to print it (File - Print current document) nothing happens…

2.- Is it possibile to import a pdf file in the “Draft” folder ? I tried to past a file in this folder but I don’t see the pdf file.

3.- same problem with Microsoft Office Excel file, I try to import them in scrivener but when I open it in scrivener nothing is shown.

Thanks

To answer your questions:

  1. No the draft folder is purely for text although you can insert images. PDFs are best used as research documents. If you need to print a PDF try the Open > In external editor command and print from external application.

  2. I don’t believe it is possible to import excel file into Scrivener. A work around would be adding the excel file as a project reference that would allow you to open it via excel.

Stacey seems to have gotten these (thanks!), so just in response to the first one, you should be able to print a PDF from Scrivener, but given that it’s buggy at the moment, the workaround of opening in the external editor and printing from there is the way to go.
