Printing files showing word count

Hi there.
I’ve looked through previous posts and haven’t found an answer. When printing separate files, I want to show (print) the word count for that file.
How do I do that?

If you print an individual document via compile using a filter like current selection, insert a word count placeholder in your document.
A list of placeholders are available from the help menu.

Under the Help menu is an entry for List of all Placeholders. Clicking on this will open a PDF listing all placeholders by category. Start by looking under statistics.
Statistics
<$wc> Gets replaced during the Compile process with the total word count of the text
currently being compiled.

Actually, the other solutions print the Project Word Count. Use File > Print and tick the checkbox for a Section Word Count on your print…

Am I missing something, I do not see that option for printing one or multiple documents.

Admittedly, I didn’t know about it until @AntoniDol posted. You will find it under File, Print Settings. :raised_hands:

That gives you the word count if do an outline, but I thought the orginal question was about printing seperate files the person wanted the word count included. This would do this, but not give the text of the files. I do not believe can combine the options of outlines and text. When checked the word count in Outlines but previewed with the text option clicked, not see a word count.
