I’m new to Scrivener and working my way through the intro tutorial. When I follow these directions in the Footer View section: "Try selecting Format > Scriptwriting > Script Mode - Screenplay from the main menu now. You will see another pop-up menu appear on the right saying “General Text” ", I do not see the "pop-up menu appear on the right saying “General Text”. Is that a bug?

No bug there, but you must first start a document as a scriptmode doc. Try Starting a fresh document anywhere in the tutorial by clicking on the green button marked with + then go to Format/ Scriptwriting and set it as a stage play. Now try the Format/Scriptwriting/Screenplay and you will find right at the bottom in the footer, on the right of it, the selector menu ( top item is Scene Heading)
