I have downloaded the update for Beta 3 and am currently using Beta 1.3.
I ran the Beta 3 .exe and got to the end of the installation and clicked finish, but when I open Scrivener it says I am still running 1.3, and when I go to Help>About Scrivener, a window pops up that also says I’m running 1.3.
Am I doing something wrong?
I believe that is the Beta 3 update. 
I was expecting to see Beta 3.0 or something. I was hoping that the update would extend my Beta trial; the date of expiration is December 12 and I thought the update would extend that.
I get this message when I start Scrivener, even after running the Beta 3 update:
Should it keep saying I’m running Beta 1 even though I installed the Beta 3 update? It says the update will let me keep using it after December 12, but I installed the update and it is still giving me this message.
Yeah, help > about should show what version you’re using. It’s been said that there will be a new version released on or before dec. 12.
Ah, I see. I take it the update to Beta 3 doesn’t actually extend the trial then? I’ll survive a few days, just curious if I’m missing something completely obvious. XD

Right, b3 has been out for a while now, which is why it has the same expiration as the original. b4 is hot in the works though; read the announcements in the Bug Hunt section for more info.
