Problems syncing projects on iOS/iPhone

I hadn’t been updating my projects regularly on my iPhone, as I primarily was flipping between my MacBook Pro at home and the iPad while traveling. However, recently, I’ve wanted to start adding little thoughts to projects while I’m out and just have a few minutes on my phone.

When I went to sync, the file list came back with 650 files; It would crash shortly thereafter. I looked online, and tried the unlink/relink dropbox fix. However, now my projects sync up quick with around 11 or so files (1 per project), but when I try to open one, I get the Invalid Project error. I’ve already determined that both my iPad and Mac are fully synced/uploaded.

I’m using iOS 13.3 and MacOS 10.14.6 (Mojave). I’m still using Scrivener for Mac v2, though, because I just haven’t had the time to figure out all the new things and take that time away from my projects. Can anyone provide any help, as now my iPhone Scrivener app is non-functional.

Thanks. ~ Christine.

Scrivener 2 with Mac OS Mojave is not a supported configuration.

While that’s probably not the direct cause of your current issue, the Scrivener 3 project format is significantly more robust against synchronization errors. I would recommend upgrading at your earliest convenience.

So I did upgrade to Scrivener3 on my Mac. Then I tried unlinking/relinking Dropbox on my iPhone’s iOS Scrivener app. However, I’m still getting the problem with invalid projects.

Do you have any idea about the cause of this or how to proceed from here, because I’m still lost and would really like to use Scrivener iOS on my phone.

Thanks,
Christine
