Problems with auto-numbering act / scene in stageplay template

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my personalised Scrivener stageplay template: When compiling, the automatic "AKT [N] SZENE [N]“ numbering somehow doesn’t work – I tried everything to figure it out myself, but with no success, so I would very grateful if somebody could help me out. Here’s a link to my personal template to try it out:

Can anyone give me a hint why my automatic numbering is broken? Is it because I changed the English „ACT [N] SCENE [N]“ to German „AKT [N] SZENE [N]“? Or is there something not correctly set up in my compiling defaults?

If anybody can help me to get the automatic numbering working, I would be really grateful. Thanks so much in advance for your help – I’m returning to Scrivener after quite a long time and rediscovering my love for it!

Use <$n> instead of [n].
You’ll also have to use strings :
AKT <$n:akt> SZENE <$n:szene>
<$rst_szene> at the end of an act.

At least that is how it works under Windows.
Refer to the placeholders list.

Thanks so much for the fast reply, really appreciated! The numbering of the act / scenes now works with the different string you’ve provided – the restart of the scene numbering after an act not yet, but I’ll keep on trying, I’m probably doing something wrong here I’ll hopefully figure out with the new info you’ve provided.

EDIT: Everything is working now – the “$” symbol in the restart command was missing, now the scenes also start again at “1” with every new act.
