Hello everyone!
I finally did it and now have a Mac!
I now have Scrivener for Windows, which I no longer use, and now I want to activate the Mac version (a dream!)
I am asked if I already have the Windows version in order to get Scrivener cheaper, and I answer YES.
I am then asked to enter the Windows-license key, which I do, and I get the following error message:
The license code entered does not qualify for a discount.
What am I doing wrong?
Greetings from Germany!

Which version of Scrivener for Windows do you have?
Hello and thank you!
I have the newest Version of Scrivener for Windows.
There are instructions here, and it says that the update costs 38 USD (36 EUR) and the version must not be older than five years. Mine is less than two years old (March 23).
You are going to need to talk to L&L about that. Submit a request from the web site as they do not discuss licensing on the forum.
I’ve already asked there, but I probably need a little more patience.
Thank you very much!
DOn’t forget to check SPAM. They are normally very quick, but do allow for time zones.
There is nothing in the spam folder. However, I find it strange that I sent the ticket and the message “We will now send you a confirmation email” came up, but it hasn’t arrived yet.
Literature and latte sent me a cross-grade-discount-coupon-code that I used to buy a new copy of Scrivener at a discount. It worked perfectly. Scrivener now runs on my Mac and it’s divine!
Thank you!
Welcome to the dark side
What’s the problem? You have cookies!
Jokes aside… I thought the Apple fanboys were crazy and just talking nonsense, but the comparison to Windows and Linux is really gigantic. I love Scrivener with Mac!
And please excuse my English, but I translated it with Google. I hope it’s understandable!
