Ever since I moved some text from Manuscript to Research, the Project Statistics function doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to. I get a blank dialog box which just sits there doing nothing, and when I try to close it, I get a “this program has stopped responding” error.
Any idea why this is happening? Text Statistics still works, but not Project Statistics. Did some settings file get corrupted when I moved text out of my Manuscript?
Can you compile the project without error? The Project Statistics panel runs a background compile to paginate it, and so if it isn’t compiling correctly that might be a clue as to what the problem is.
Thanks Amber - compiling the project worked, and after I did that, the Project Statistics problem went away. Just to make sure, I again moved some text from Manuscript to Research, but it didn’t cause any issues this time.
Not sure why the issue occurred in the first place. Seems like something involved in background compiling got corrupted, and running a full compile reset it.
