Hi, I have created a project (BookExample.scriv) in order to learn and test Compiling (Automatic Nummeration, etc.) and Other Issues in Scrivener 3.
It has a complex structure (7 levels of folders and 8 of documents), and includes seccion types, section layout, compiling styles, footnotes and comments, page settings, headers with page number, front matter, back matter, etc.
The root document ISSUES included in the project summarizes the several problems I had when applying some of these functionalities, especially with automatic numeration and the appearance of page numbers in headers, and with the matching of the page number in the Table of Contents and the on the page to which the ToC referred (both in OpenOffice and in MS Word).
Another of the issues I had was the setting/change of the background of the footnotes in the inspector (on this issue I filed a help request in the Technical Support forum but to no avail (it would seem that it can the setting/changing of color of that background is not possible in Scriveener 3).
I have zipped he documentation of the project (.scriv file, .scrtypes, .scrformat, and the resulting .odt LibreOffice file), in the “Project to Test Compiling (Automatic Nummeration, etc.) and Other Issues in Scrivener 3.zip”
Would you please take a look at the project and help me solve the issues I encounetered? Many thanks for any help
Hi,
I have created a complex project (BookExample.scriv) in order to learn and test Compiling (Automatic Nummeration, etc.) and also handle other Issues in Scrivener 3. I found this the only way to specify the issues I encountered with compiling and other functionalities.
The project has a complex structure (7 levels of folders and 8 of documents), and includes seccion types, section layout, compiling styles, footnotes and comments, page settings, headers with page number, front matter, back matter, etc.
I have zipped he documentation of the project (.scriv file, .scrtypes, .scrformat, and the resulting .odt LibreOffice file), in the “Project to Test Compiling (Automatic Nummeration, etc.) and Other Issues in Scrivener 3.zip” Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the way to send the files as attached to my posts in this and the Feedback forums (Mac).
Would you please tell me how to attach a file to a post in this and in the fèedback forums? I would like you to take a look at the project and help me solve the issues I encounetered? Many thanks for any help
Andres, I strongly suggest you contact Tech Support directly with your questions. We users try to help on the forums. Moderators from Literature and Latte often respond to our forum posts as well. But if you need a fast reply to detailed questions, you will get a better response by emailing your questions and attaching your zipped project. The address is:
When you create a post, below the area where you type there should be some settings (like whether or not to use BBCode), and an attachment tab. Note there is problem with the skin in that sometimes the attachment tab gets jammed into a submenu button all by itself even if there is plenty of space to show it.
@AMBERV,
Many thanks for your help. I will contact Tech Support directly, as recommended me in the Feedback forum.
By the way, with the help of Silverdragon, I couldI fix the issue concerning the setting/change of the background colour of footnotes in the inspector (mentioned in my previous post, above),
Many thanks again. I appreciate very much the support provided by the L&L staff to us, Scrivener users.
@Silverdragon,
many thanks for your answer. I will follow your recommendation to contact Tech Support directly. Anyway, I appreciate very much the support already provided by you and other members of the forums in relation to this and other issues I’ve had.
