Project won't open after computer crash

I just had some sort of power interruption while in the midst of working on a lengthy project. I had just hit save and after rebooting, I see that all the files (RTFD, and such) still exist in the file package. The trouble is the project itself no longer opens. I click its icon and Scrivener will open, but no project appears.

Is there anyway to recover the project, or do I have to rebuild it from the RTFD files?

I’ve tried moving the ui.xml file to the Trash and re-opening the project, but that does no good either. :frowning:

The RTFD file of the “scene” I was working on at the time of the crash won’t open at all (e.g. won’t open with TexEditor as an rtf.

What exactly happens when you try to open the project? Does Scrivener crash or does nothing happen at all? If the latter, open up ~/Applications/Utilities/Console.app and see if there are any error messages in the console window when you try to open the project. It is possible if there was a power interruption that the underlying binder file could have been corrupted (if the problem interrupted it partway-through writing to disk for instance). That would be incredibly unlucky, but possible. (If that’s the case, I will ask you to send me the project as I can use a feature in the development version of 2.0 to salvage all of the titles and synopses, even if the structure and labels will be lost.) If it’s a crash, things may be easier to sort out.

I guess it’s the incredibly unlucky variant. :frowning:

Nothing at all happens when I open the project. Scrivener opens, but the project doesn’t.

The console log reads (all three times I tried opening it):
