Purchased software not installing

I am having trouble installing the Literature Latte Scrivener CD. There appears to be a clash between a trial version of the software I downloaded while waiting for the delivery of the CD. How do I resolve this problem so that I can run the software I have purchased? Is there a way of deleting the trial version, so that the paid version will run?

The versions should be the same, if they were not acquired too far apart. Have you tried simply using the serial number for the CD on the trial version?
