Is it possible to purchase Scrivener at the educational price from Apple’s “App Store”, or are the discounted prices only available from the Literature & Latte site?

Unfortunately, I have one of those Apple Scratch ‘n’ Sniff cards which means that I have to purchase via the “App Store”.
Unfortunately Apple don’t allow for anything like this via the App Store - it’s one price only with no way of giving discount coupons to anyone. That’s the only reason that educational pricing is only available through us; it’s just not possible via the App Store.

It’s not strictly “kosher” in terms of the fine print, but you might be able to find someone who is willing to buy the card for cash value on Craigslist/eBay/etc. It’s kind of like “not for re-sale” on a concert ticket; you aren’t supposed to, but there is no way for anyone to know if you actually bought that ticket directly from the vendor or someone who wanted to get rid of it.
It’s an idea, but seems a bit of a hassle.
I don’t know if they’re still doing it, but a little while ago, Apple were giving them away with Macs. Effectively, it was as if you could buy a new Mac and get a voucher that would more that cover the cost of a licensed copy of Scrivener thrown in too!
Anyway, I’ve now jumped through all of the Apple-related hoops (iHoops), redeemed the voucher, installed a Mac version of Scrivener and still have thirty-odd quid’s worth of credit left. It’s a shame I can’t use the rest of the “App Store” credit to get a copy of Scrivener for Windows!
