QR panel scrolling with Main editor (different docs)

I have DOCA open as a Quick Reference Panel and have it on my second monitor.
I have DOCB open in the main editor on the main monitor.

When I scroll DOCA in the main editor, my Quick Reference panel also scrolls - as if they are synced. Which doesn’t make any sense because they are two different documents.

I’ve used this set up many times in the past and it didn’t do this, but is now. How do I stop it?

The only thing that I think might be a variable is that the DOCB was a copy of DOCA originally (but is significantly different now). Did the copy cause the problem? If so, can I stop it?

Any insights would be appreciated.

That certainly isn’t anything intentional, or even theoretically possible (though I suppose perhaps with some third-party tool it might be?). I’d ensure it doesn’t persist beyond a reboot before getting too worried about it. I’ve seen “cross-feed” bugs with scrolling in macOS before—it I think depends on using the trackpad rather than a physical scrollwheel, and might have something to do with the “inertia” default that makes it so you can flick it rather than having each pixel translated from literal movement.

I copied and pasted the copied document to a new blank document, and deleted the copied document, and rebooted. That seems to solve the problem. Thanks.
