Query of having Projects show on Menu

I have got used to just being able to access my previous Projects without any [problem by going to File Recent Projects I have got five fully completed book MS there. So imagine my horror when I went to open it today and discovered NONE of them are showing on my Recent Projects Menu The only one that is showing is the one I am currently working on…

there is no message or anything - the files are just not to be seen

I am not panicking - I am sure they are there somewhere… But I want them in clear sight - so when I go to Recent Projects I can just call them up…

I have put in a Support query but honestly I cannot follow a word of what it is telling me to do - I am not a techie and even instructions like _ got to the Manual section All About Projects… OKAAA&Y Mine doesn’t seem to have a section titled that and when I try and search on the phrase it says no file found…

I am scared to just play around in case I make it worse…

Grateful for your help - I set this all up about three years ago and now I can hardly remember how I did it…

The Recent Projects list is just a list; an absence from the list is not a sign of anything wrong with the projects themselves.

When you created these projects, you were prompted for a name, and were given the option of what folder to put each of them in. What you want to do is bring up the file browser “Explorer” (not to be confused with Internet Explorer) and use the search field. Type in the following:

*.scriv

Make sure, where is shows where it’s searching, to search your entire C: drive.

Then let it do its thing, finding the files that act as the core of every one of your projects. Make note of where on your hard drive those things are, so you can always just browse your folders to get to them.
