Question about pricing

I noticed in Wikipedia that the entry for Scrivener says users of Scrivener 1.x will get a free update to version 3.0. I went to correct that to say users who purchased 1.0 after a certain date would get a free update but I can’t find the date. I’m happy to do the update on Wikipedia if someone can tell me what the cutoff date is.

From a post by Scrivener tech support:

Scrivener 3.0 for Mac was released on 20 November 2017.

Therefore the cutoff date is 20 November 2017.

Hope this helps!

But, just to confirm, if I buy it right now I won’t get the free update right?

As I understand, it’s the opposite – if you buy now, you will get the upgrade for free.

The 20 November 2017 cutoff means that all purchases made after that date will get the free upgrade; only purchases made before that date will need to pay to upgrade.

Hope that clarifies!

I sent a message directly through contact form, I’ll post when I get a reply.

Collider is correct: the free upgrade is available to anyone purchasing Win Scrivener 1 after the release of Mac Scrivener 3. Which was November, 2017.

Oh damn I’m buying it first hour tomorrow then, Thanks!
