Random import of sequential numbered files

Hi there

I have a folder of about 60 rtfd files numbered:
1note
2note
3note
etc.

I get a completely random sequence when importing in S 3.2.2 mac

This looks to me like an old Mac bug (or limitation, who knows). I think it has been that way since Mac OS X 10.0, and maybe even back into the System days. Generally you have better results by selecting the files themselves in Finder, which will cause the list of files to be given in the order you see (so you can even pre-sort by some criteria, like tags). If you drag whole folders though—it is “random”.

Whatever the case, it’s not too big of a deal if you want alphabetical order and didn’t get it: select the folder these were dragged into, and use the Edit ▸ Sort ▸ Ascending command.
