Randomize corkboard?

Hi,

I’m just getting to know Scrivener, doing some pre-planning for my first NaNo. I’m brainstorming plots and scenes and such and was wondering if there’s away to randomize the order of the notecards in the corkboard. That way, I could try out different arrangements of things to find new ways to connect them together, spur creativity, and so on. There doesn’t seem to be a way to do this that I can find (though I could easily be wrong), so I was wondering if this might be a possible feature for 2.0? I suppose then a “restore” button, or some such, would be useful then to put them back in the original order.

Thanks for listening and keep up the great work on this wonderful program.

Hi Sarah,

There’s no way to do this at the moment, no - although strangely enough, 2.0 will have a “Random” sort feature just like this.

Good luck with NaNo!

All the best,
Keith

Good news. So, finally, I will have someone (or something, admitting Scrivener is a thing) to blame for the “logic” after my plots…

You could just use the most common excuse here: I was listing to vic-k. No one could hold you accountable for anything after that statement.

Glad to hear it, Keith. Thanks a bunch!
