Reading time and mid-screen commencement in compose mode

I am a long-time Scrivener user. However, for two reasons, when I write blog pieces I tend to use iAWriter.

  1. I like the ‘reading time’ guide as this is more important to me than word count per se.

  2. I like that my writing starts mid-screen (when in focus mode), and stays in that position

I would like to do everything in Scrivener’s Compose Mode, but don’t know if this is possible. I know I can use typewriter mode but this starts at the top of the screen. I’d like to start in the middle.

I realise that these are finicky, 1st world questions, but it would make my writing experience just that little bit sweeter.
