Received kdp email: multiple lines of space b/w body text

Hi,

I used Scrivener for Mac to publish my kindle book - love the software, rave about it to everyone. The book has been out for four months, is doing well, lots of happy readers.

Today, I received an email from kdp (Amazon) stating a formatting problem with the book. But I cannot recreate it. On the kindle support forums, others suggest that I use word instead. I can’t imagine going to word after Scrivener.

Any suggestions on how to diagnose and fix the problem? The email below. Thank you!

Hello,

We’re writing to let you know that at least one of your readers has reported some problems within your book.

There are multiple lines of space between body text paragraphs throughout the book. You’ll need to remove the excessive paragraph spacing.

Be sure to check out the Formatting section of the Guide to Kindle Content Quality Errors page by clicking the link at the end of this message.

For further information regarding these above reported issues with your book, please see the Guide to Kindle Content Quality Errors:

After you’ve made corrections, please upload your revised content over the original submission through the ‘Book Content’ section in your KDP Bookshelf.

Click on “Browse,” select the revised file, hit Upload and select “Save and Publish.” This will replace the old content with the new.

I hope this information helps. If you have further questions, please reply directly to this email.

Thanks for using Amazon KDP.

Best Regards,

Amazon KDP
