So I just bought a copy of Scrivener. Huzzah! I’m happy to support this product, etc.
I get my receipt, punch my name and serial into the fields requested, and get a messagbox that says:
Validated Successfully! Thank you!
I feel all happy that I paid money now.
But then…
ominous music
I get ANOTHER MESSAGE BOX!

Oh no, I screwed up! I must have entered it in wrong!
I try again.
I get the same result!
I’M UNDER ATTACK BY COMMUNISTS FOR PAYING FOR SOFTWARE!
HELP!
Do I need to pay more?

Er, I mean that now that I’m trying to pay for the software the trial license has expired and I can’t even use the trial time.
The exe was downloaded today from the main site, and should be the most recent version.

So waiting a day and trying again seems to have worked.
Sorry you had trouble with this (and that you didn’t get an earlier reply–L&L staff has been on holiday and are just now working on getting caught up). Sounds like there was some trouble writing to/reading from the registry initially, but I’m glad it’s all working for you now. Thanks for supporting Scrivener!
