I’m having a problem that I find really annoying. If I copy something from a website and paste it into Scrivener it retains the formatting of the text on the site. Is there some sort of option to turn off this default behavior. I’d like whatever I copy/paste into Scrivener to be plain text so it looks like the rest of the content I have in there.
The next time you paste something, use Cmd-Opt-Shift-V instead of Cmd-V. This will treat the incoming text as “plain text” instead of styled text, and thus the original document format will be retained. The menu command is in the Edit menu, “Paste and Match Style”.
And if you really always want “paste and match style,” like I do, use the Keyboard prefpane to switch the keyboard shortcuts.
