Removing Auto-Chapter Naming when Compiling

Good morning, good afternoon.

When I compile my project, each chapter is automatically named Chapter One, Chapter Two, Chapter Three, etc. I’ve been playing around with the compiling settings but can’t figure out how to remove that. Any ideas?

Thanks.

That is actually in the compile format.

Double click on the compile format you chose to compile with in the list on the left side of the main compiler window.
Duplicate it if prompted to.

Look for a placeholder → <$…> in the title’s prefix and remove it.

I was able to duplicate and save…but where do I look for this placeholder?

Wait - I should have looked before I saved. I’ll try again.

This is where.
(Disregard my previous screenshot.)

Oh I see it! But there are so many Layout Names…do I remove that prefix from each one?

Only from where you don’t want the numbering.

So, if you don’t want any at all, might as well, yes. (Some of these layouts may not be in use, but go ahead, it doesn’t matter.)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
