Not sure when this was added, honestly, I have no record of it anywhere—but it looks like its primary function is to fix the numbering of sequential lines that have been numbered. So if you type in the following, select the lines and run the command, you’ll get this before and after sequence:
3. Three
One
Two
After:
1. Three
2. One
3. Two
So it would be useful to anyone who is manually numbering things, such as Markdown lists, as a way of cleaning things up after doing some editing to the list.
Wow, just a little snide… Actually I gave up part of my weekend, while still recovering from surgery, to step in for another manager who had a more pressing crisis. I did the same today, extending my work day to just under 12 hours.
While loa’s assistance is always tops there is from time to time a little snide in some remarks.
‘Hope you had a nice weekend too’ is another (snide) way of saying ‘it was my weekend, how dare you be impatient’, in England(Yorkshire), NZ and Aus, my 3 countries of citizenship. In Aus it might be preceded with F.U. for added emphasis .
I’d noticed L&L staff posting responses over the weekend and the original question had fallen well down the page so just upped it.
I read it as a slight apology for not answering sooner, RuffPub. I think you might be reading more into it than was intended. Ioa is usually pretty direct and not normally one to throw shade around – unlike, say, me.
Oh FFS, as pointed above, I reposted because it had slipped well down the page and L&L staff were responding to subsequent posts further up the page. I regularly work weekends so just regular days of the week to me.
Guess I should have expected lunk to get involved, never fails.
Don’t bother replying, going on forum vacation before it all turns toxic… walks away shaking head…
