Replace links with texts when compiling

Hi,

I’m writing a long text with multiple annotations (subtexts to the main text). I need to keep the main text independent from its annotations when writing but I need the annotations to appear interspersed within the main text when compiling the document.

So, is it possible to replace links (linking to other texts within Scrivener’s binder) with their linked texts when compiling? For example, my document “Draft” contains the phrase “On blank spaces,” which in reality is a link to another text contained in my binder. Would it be possible to have Scrivener replace “On blank spaces” with the text is linked to when I compile my document “Draft”?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!
Sergio.

There is no feature like that at this time, but we may introduce something along these lines in the future. Inline Annotations give one a way to intersperse notes with their text, that may work for what you need, as you can choose to have them included as a part of the text when exporting, in the Footnotes & Comments compile option pane.

Thank you very much for your quick reply!

Since my annontations range between 50 and 400 words approx., I find it difficult to use the Inline Annotations or the Comments features as replacements for this need. So, I think it would be great for Scrivener to incorporate this feature in future versions!

Many thanks again.
