REQ: Footnotes in Full Screen mode

It would be nice to be able to open the Inspector to insert a footnote while in Full Screen mode.

Currently, I have to hit “Esc” to leave full screen, position the cursor and then click “insert footnote”, which tends to take me out of “the zone” and is a bit of a bubble-burster.

When I’m in Full Screen mode, I’d like to have an “Insert footnote…” option in the context menu which would open a floating Comments & Footnotes Inspector that I could leave open or minimise as required (or move to the other monitor to keep it out of the way).

PS: Being able to configure the context menu – select which items to include/exclude and the ability to change the order of the selected items – would be a cake that veritably runneth over with icing …

In the Mac version it’s already possible to set Scrivener up so it opens the Full screen window (the distraction-free Composition mode) in the other monitor, i.e. the one not occupied by the main Scrivener window. Is that not possible in the Windows version? If not, it’ll come in version 3 as L&L has said that there will be function parity.

I haven’t found a setting that lets me have both the main Scrivener window and a full-screen mode window open at the same time, but your post prompted me to look and, in so doing, I noticed the auto-hide settings inspector that appears at the foot of the screen in full-screen mode has an “inspector” button that I can use to display Comments & Footnotes in a floating panel, so thanks for the nudge!
