Resize Image Box -- Differentiate Ruler Ticks

I frequently import Tiff images that will be figures in papers I am writing.
When I bring them into Scrivener they are typically much wider than the Scrivener window.

I double click to get the Resize palette. To make the sizes consistent I usually want to apply the same resize to all images. I do this by counting the ticks in the Resize palette (I usually pick the 7th). However since all the markings (ticks?) are the same I have to count each time. It would be nice if the ticks were differentiated from each other – for example every 5th could be longer and descent lower, or be a different color.

Minor but I would notice the improvement

I don’t think there’s a way to differentiate the tick sizes using the standard Apple slider control, unfortunately. I’m not sure it would help anyway given that the slider can be relative. A better solution might be to have the resize palette show the height and width in pixels next to the slider, so that you can resize them accurately to a specific width (or height). I’ve added that to the list of refinements to make in future, although I can’t promise it will make it into the initial 2.0 release.
Thanks,
Keith
