Restoring from backups

I’m not having a problem. Merely seeking information. I’ve read significant parts of this forum, searched the forum, worked through the tutorials, researched the Scrivener Manual and Take Control of Scrivener. If there is a clear explanation of this procedure, then I’ve missed it.

I backup automatically and manually several times each session. I have a low tolerance for key-typing creative work. At the end of each session I burn the last two backups to a CD. OK, I accept I’m paranoid about losing files.

Anyway, it occurred to me that I haven’t seen a description of the procedure of recovering data from these backups.

I assume I extract all files to the same folder on my disk and point Scrivener at that folder.

Comments or corrections?

Yes, exactly.

Make sure to extract all files, as a Scrivener project includes files for metadata, not just the document text.

PS You’re not paranoid if they really are out to get you.

unless your vic-k. In that case the fact they really are out to get you is a) par for the course b) the least of your problems.
