Revision mode available?

I’m a newbie user diving into my first round of editing. I am confused because I can’t locate the Revision Mode referred to in Literature & Latte Support and the various YouTube videos I have watched on this topic. It shows a feature where your revisions are color-coded. I am searching for this feature, but I am not finding it. What am I missing?

How do people keep track of their edits if it is no longer available? thank you

Google may be your friend here – it immediately found this, which feels a full explanation?

Here is a tip that can assist you far beyond the scope of this topic.

In the Help menu bar there is a search bar. Search for the command or option your looking for. Scrivener is smart enough to highlight the selected feature with the menus drilled down to the level needed to see the searched for command. I find myself using this a lot.

In this case, hit the Format menu bar, down to Revision Mode, and then select which round of revision you are on to make the color coding as you revise.

I had hoped it was a magical revision experience with a different UX and such, but it’s not that much different than simply changing the text color, though I expect it does more than only that.

Revision mode is available under Scrivener’s Format menu in the top menu. It should also come up if you search for revision in the search bar under the Help menu.
