Well, the paragraph spacing tip got me closer. Unfortunately once I’d set up Override text and notes formatting and made the “no style” paragraphs work, and then fixed up the code block and block quote styles, I found that newlines were being ignored. So I’ve given up and changed to the “use Scrivener like a plain text editor” approach.
