Rtf, odt and alignment

As I am working with Zotero, I have to first export to .rtf, then save as .odt so I can do an .odf scan.

If I open my .rtf with word, my block quotes are perfectly aligned, but when I open it with LibreOffice, the text is justified–i.e. spread all over the width of the page–and then it stays like this when I create a .docx.

I really don’t know what I can do. I hope someone can help.

Have you consulted LibreOffice’s support?

What happens if you open the file in TextEdit?

No, I have not consulted anything. I have very little time left. It needs to be uploaded today.

What I did is create a new style in addition to “block quotes”, called “block left”, for when I quote song lyrics (a lot, since I’m working on Bob Dylan!).
It’s still a bit messy in the block quotes when somes lines contain few words, but it’s still much better than it was. Of course, I had to go through the 500 pages to change all these bits of texts, but well, it’s done.
I did not try with TextEdit, I have to admit.
