In the Outline view, is it possible to have a running word count? Eg:
Chapter 1 = 5,000 words, Manuscript so far = 5,000 words
Chapter 2 = 2,000 words, Manuscript so far = 7,000 words
Chapter 3 = 1,500 words, Manuscript so far = 8,500 words etc
No. But you can get cumulative count as per structure.
Here, the cumulative count is the Chapers, which is the sum of the scenes word count.
I didn’t think it was possible. So annoying. It is the most obvious of features which would be useful.
Otherwise hover in the Search Bar and you’ll find you total word count for all Chapters marked to compile.
