Saving text and folders to another project

Hello!

First, let me say that Scrivener is absolutely fantastic. Simply the best writing software I’ve encountered. Yes, there are many good programs out there, even excellent programs, but nothing comes close to Scrivener.

That said, is there a way to copy the text or folders from one project to another? For example, I am writing in one project and realize that several text items or folders need to be a separate project, can I just save them as a separate project? Or is there some way to import them to another project?

Thanks so much for creating a wonderful software.

Regards,
GK Zachary

Thank you for the kind words! The easiest way to get what you want is to open both projects side by side, then just select the items you want to copy and drag them from the one project’s binder to the other. This will copy the documents and will bring across keywords, snapshots, etc. associated with those documents. Labels and status are project-dependent, so you will need to go through those once you’ve copied the documents over since some labels or statuses you used in the original project might not match up with anything in the second and will need to be re-created.

Thank you so much for your quick response!
