Scale pasted image

I pasted an image into a doc in Scrivener. Can’t get it to select so I can resize it?
What’s the likely problem?

Hi,

To resize images in text, just double-click on the image - that brings up the scaling panel.

Hope that helps.
All the best,

Such an obvious solution, but for some reason it doesn’t work!
Something different about a pasted-in graphic that would create the issue?

What sort of image is it - as in, what file type? You can only rescale images containing bitmap or PICT data (.jpgs, .gifs, .pngs, .tifs, .bmps etc) - it won’t work for PDF or EPS data.

I don’t know. What will a marquee select, copy as a graphic and paste from a PDF to a Scrivener RTF document produce? It seems like it’s a bitmap/piece of screen image.

As it’s copied from a PDF, it will be a PDF (I just checked it from Preview), so you won’t be able to scale it.

All the best,
Keith
