Scratchpad doesn't allow me to input text

Scrivener Scrivener for macOS

I use Shift+CMD+Enter to activate Scratchpad both within Scrivener and outside, but when the window appears, everything is grayed out, and I am unable to use the + sign to enter new text.

I’ve attached a screenshot.

I have the same configuration, and the Scratchpad works fine on my system.

If you click on the Scratchpad window to make sure it has the focus, does the ‘+’ icon work then?

Do you already have some notes, or is the Scratchpad currently blank?

I have a document in a project with a scratchpad entry, but I have no scratchpad notes in the Scratchpad window.
