Scratchpad for iOS

Hey, guys, I love Scrivener and appreciate the time and effort you are putting in to create an iOS version that is of the same standard as the PC software. I will definitely purchase it when it becomes available and would probably use it, although I think I would continue to do the bulk of my deliberate writing on my Macbook.

What I would find really, really useful would be an standalone iOS app like “Scratchpad” that syncs automatically with the full-blown software on my PC. This would be great to capture thoughts and draft essays while on the road that are compatible and easily massaged into the more substantive manuscripts I create on my PC. I realize there are other iOS apps like Simplenote that can create the rich text (?) docs and be imported into Scrivener. However, I really, really like the simplicity, flexibility and integration of Scratchpad when I am working in Scrivener and, with only few more bells and whistles perhaps, I would be grateful if I could use it on my iPhone.

Once again, guys, love your product. Well done and keep up the great work!

What I might look at doing is allowing the scratch pad folder to read and write plain text files as well as rich text files. That way, you could set the scratch pad folder to one on Dropbox that is also set to be used by an iOS editor such as IA Writer or Elements.

All the best,
Keith
