Screen savers and Writer's Flow

If you are looking for some immediacy to your writing, perhaps when you are on deadline, set your screen saver down to 5 mins or less. Whether you’re the type who writes a few sentences at a time then spaces out looking up stuff and talking, having an appropriate screen saver remind you of why you’re sitting at a keyboard can actually get you to: Voila, it’s done!

These are tenets of the Writer’s Flow process.

Just to note: You can have any number of programs do the reminding. What’s key is that modulating the frequency of those reminders is totally user-controlled and friendly. For instance, if it’s really necessary to be a productivity beast every once in a while, the right frequency can raise productivity while at the same time minimizing stress.
