Scrivener and Zotero Integration

Hello all,

I just want to inform you that new integration between Scrivener and Zotero has been developed.

The main characteristic of this integration is that you can call the Zotero picker from Scrivener, browse the Zotero library through it and add citations in Scrivener. Then through compile add the citations and bibliography in citation style that you prefer. At the end you get fully expanded Word document (.docx).

Furthermore a script has been developed that enables, by using Custom processor/preprocessor option, in Marked2 to have a preview of citations and bibliography in the selected citation style. You can export the file to docx through Marked2 and have the word document with citations and bibliography in the citation style you determined.

You can find detail instruction how to use it at zotplus.github.io/better-bibtex/cayw.html

See the discussions at github.com/ZotPlus/zotero-bette … issues/263

This integration was not going to be possible without the work of Emiliano Heyns (BetterBibTex) and Erik Hetzner (zotxt). Especially the hard work of Emiliano.

I am very thankful to them!

I hope you find this integration useful.

Can this work on a PC? I followed the links but was unable, due to my own lack of technical knowledge, to determine how to implement this in Scrivener. Do step-by-step instructions for Zotero/Scrivener users of lesser technical savvy exist? Thx, kraml

at this moment not.
However, there is work done on that.

@mijalce: Thanks for helping to drive this little (big) project! I am salivating over the potential availability of such an efficient tool for use with Scrivener. k
