Scrivener beta 1.9 won't load past Setup

I just downloaded the Scrivener beta for windows and it won’t install onto my computer. I am running windows vista. I click through the basic agreement, agree what folder for it to load into, begin to got through the install process and freezes with an error box that looks like this:

There has been an error.
Error copying file
The application will exit now.

OK

I don’t know what else to do. I have uninstalled, wiped, downloaded a fresh one, try to reinstall and same error.

Have you rebooted right before installing? Also close anything in the system tray you’re not using and temporarily turn off anti-virus. If I recall correctly, the last time I saw that error it was because a file was in memory and couldn’t be overwritten by an installer,

Have you tried beta 2.0 ?
