Scrivener Boops at Me

Scrivener Scrivener for macOS

Occasionally, something causes Scrivener not to accept keystrokes (my iMac just “boops” when I press a key).

I found a way to reproduce it, and I’ve illustrated it in this video:

The problem usually goes away quickly, but I’d like to know why this happens so I can avoid it.

I’m learning that this tends to happen after I’ve selected a menu option by first searching for it in the Help menu.

Does this happen to no one else? It can be inconvenient.

Just found that this happens with other apps as well.
