Scrivener Fails to Start

I’m running macOS Catalina 10.15.5. Up until today I had no problems using Scrivener. However, today when I attempted to use the app, it failed to start. Double clicking on the app icon in the dock showed “Application not Responding.” I after a few minutes, I force quit the app and restarted it to no avail- same issue. I’ve reset my display preferences and monkeyed around with the project file. I can’t do anything else because the app will not start. Is there something else I can do (such as maybe download the evaluation copy and activate it using my license key)?

Restart your Mac if you haven’t already.

You can start Scrivener without loading any projects by holding the Shift key when the program starts. Does that help?

Sorry for my late response, but I restarted my computer and Scrivener started successfully.
