The Apple Intelligence writing tools are already available within Scrivener on the macOS 15.2 beta (after getting through the waiting list). I’m not sure if this is Scrivener’s work or Apple’s default menu affordances. I’m assuming it’s from Apple, because there are now two Writing Tools entries in the Edit Menu.
I was also stunned when they mentioned Scrivener and showed something that looked as un-scrivenery as possible—no Binder? No split screen? But I take it as Apple’s more than deserved appreciation of one of the finest and longest running writing applications on their devices.
I also noticed that in one of the screens showing lots of app icons (maybe in the same video, maybe in one of the other two), my main three working apps Scrivener, DEVONthink and Drafts are somehow grouped together in one corner. This could be a coincidence, but maybe there are still some people at Apple who are not focused on genmojis.
They’ve been there since the initial 15.1 beta for US region/language users. I posted similar screenshots in another thread back then.
Keith commented in that thread that he will rename the Scrivener Writing Tools option to avoid confusion.
That’s what happens when you come late to the party.
