Scrivener on old iMac

Hello
I am considering buying an old iMac (model 2008 or 2009) to use with Scrivener and only that.

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the newest Scrivener on an old iMac?

The machine needs to be capable of running MacOS 10.12 or later. The Apple website will tell you what that model is capable of running.
