Scrivener 2.8.1 has a minor identity issue.
If you go to the web site download page for S2, it states the current version is 2.8.1.2.
If you have the latest version of S2 installed, the “About Scrivener” box shows “Version 2.8.1 (26326)”.
With build 26326 installed, “Check for updates” reports you have the latest version.
If you look at the release notes page, the last release is shown as “Scrivener 2.8.1.2”.
Please make the version information consistent between the download page, the release notes and the information displayed within the program. Personally I like seeing both the version and the build number in the program and the release notes. It removes any ambiguity whether I’m running the version with the features and fixes listed.
