Scrivener will not relaunch

I am using Scrivener to write my Ph.D. dissertation. I did the program update last week with no apparent problems. I didn’t use Scrivener after the update. Today when I tried to launch Scrivener, I keep getting the message that the application quit unexpectedly. Upon two or three efforts to relaunch, I am given the option to reset application settings for Scrivener. I have gone ahead and done so, but Scrivener still fails to relaunch. I am running Mac OS 10.5.8.

Should I just reinstall Scrivener? If so, do I need to deinstall it first?

I have looked on your website and in the instruction pdf for advice about this problem, but I have found any answers. I would really appreciate any assistance. Thanks in advance.

Yes, just reinstall Scrivener - it sounds as though something went wrong during the update. You don’t need to uninstall first - just download Scrivener again from our product page and install it again. This will overwrite the bad version and get you up and running again (reinstalling has no effect on your projects).
