Scrivening titles with color background have a gap on the right side

Hi, I’ve been messing around with customizing my theme lately, and I added a background color to my scrivening titles. However there appears to be a gap on the right side where the background color doesn’t apply.

I’m 99% sure this is where the scroll bar goes if you select the “Scroll bars next to text when using fixed width” option in appearances > main editor, but not only does this gap show up in the fixed width editor, it’s there in the non-fixed width and split screen as well. In both cases, the scroll bar will never be there, so there’s no point in having that gap.

I’ve got screencaps of everything here.

Is there any way to get rid of it? It’s visually annoying and doesn’t make sense to have if the scroll bar option isn’t selected. I know it’s not the end of the world but if there’s a fix, I’d like to find it. Thanks!

Thanks for the notes! The problem with the drawing is actually on the left side. The background is supposed to be flush with the text block on both the left and right side, not extending all the way to the edge of the editor on only one side (or both sides for that matter).

It’s also supposed to have a subtle border around it and have slightly rounded corners.

In short… it was never finished.

Here is the intended design, demonstrating also the label tint option:

This look is a little dated at this point (it is better in dark mode, where the border is far more subtle), in my opinion, but that is beside the point.

You could set the track of the Scrollbar to the same color as the background. Since you can restyle the Scrollbar completely, you should be able to continue using the Scrollbar when you need it.
