Text deleted from a document in Scrivenings Mode is restored on re-open.
If edits are made in other Scrivenings after the deleting, the restoration is random (sometimes the delete takes, sometimes it doesn’t.) However, with the following steps, I can reproduce this every time:
- create a couple documents, siblings in the Binder
- open in Scrivenings Mode
- Type some text in one of the documents, such as. “This is line one.”
- Start a new line. Type some more text, eg. “This line should be deleted.”
- Save, if needed.
- Delete the text, “This line will be deleted.” The text will disappear, as expected.
- Save, if needed.
- Close Project or Quit Scrivener.
- Reopen Scrivener Project.
- “This line should be deleted” magically reappears.
Version 2.0 (6218)
Workaround: select the single document, delete the text.
