scroll position

My dream is to see somewhere the scroll position of an archive…
Yes I REMEMBER I made solemny to Keith the promise not to ask again this:
a link which would go to a precise location…an anchor not to name it.

I understand the fact that it’s not reliable when the target is a text which can be modified. But with a static one (a web archive)I don’t understand the problem.

Of course I can understand Scrivener’dad preventions against needless complications.

So I spent twenty minutes to make a representation of my suggestion (shockwave must be installed in your browser):

jeanlouisvalero.fr/ScrivScrollValue.html

(You can move only the scroller in that demo…)
Having the exact location of the scroll , it would be easy to retrieve later a passage in a big archive, writing scrolling values inside the info box.
